Challenges of Short Sentence Writing Encountered by First-Year Saudi EFL Uundergraduate Students

This paper is set up to outline the most common challenges in writing short sentences encountered by first-year students at English language departments Al-Baha University campuses. The study considered necessary because it raises awareness of both and instructors improve their sentence writing. A mixed approach (quantitative qualitative) was used collect data using questionnaires interviews. Approximately122 who as a Foreign Language (EFL), (%50.4 females %49.6 males), together with 30 EFL (15 males 15 females) were randomly selected. addresses three questions. They are: 1) What do face when sentences?, 2) are frequent challenging components among students?, 3) differences between male female regarding difficulties sentences?. found significant constructing sentences, distinguishing active passive voice, conjunctions, punctuation, quantifiers, appropriate auxiliary verbs. Additionally, building sentences. Moreover, revealed that high percentage have very low skills practice. To overcome any obstacles push forward learning later, this highly recommended should pay more attention development skills. Thus, extra written activities peer assessment must be granted research done explore evaluate prevalent problems barriers encounter samples paperwork.
